Jonah has a project due next week and we've been working on it, which has been torture for a boy whose greatest passion is PLAY. 24.7.
...so anyway I tempted him with his favourite Kraft Dinner for supper if he wrote out one last sentence, I left him to do it and started in the kitchen.
"Mummy, I wrote you a note, it's downstairs!" I love this, they're grinning ear to ear with pride for doing something nice, and they're almost peeing in excitement for you to read it.
"Ooooh, how nice of you Jonah, you finished your work, and wrote me a note? Let's go down and see what it says!"
so I run downstairs to no work done and two words....
'That's it!'
He laughs and laughs at me, and exclaims he's done working for the night through his laughs. I say just try a little harder, and his supper will be done soon as I run back to the kitchen.
"Mummy there's another note....."
Yay! He finished! ...and I run back downstairs to a happy little boy. No work done and...
'You can bug me later!'
Ha Ha, so funny, now just hurry up, and back upstairs I go.
"Mummy I have something to show you..."
Yay, finally he's done, but no, another note....
'Go Away and Stop!'
So I write him a note -
'Enough of the craziness and Finish Already!'
And a minute later he meets me in the kitchen with another note - one word that fills whole piece of red construction paper-
'NO!'
